Understanding Your Warranty
Apple provides a one-year limited warranty for its products, including the iPod. This warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not include accidental damage or normal wear and tear. If your iPod is still under warranty, you can contact Apple Support for assistance.
Additionally, Apple offers AppleCare , an extended protection plan that provides additional coverage for accidental damage and battery service. If you have AppleCare and your iPod battery holds less than 80% of its original capacity, you can get it replaced at no charge.

Repair Options
If your iPod is no longer under warranty or you don’t have AppleCare , you can still get it repaired. Apple provides a “Get an Estimate” tool to review potential costs for direct repair. You can also visit an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Best Buy, which is an authorized provider of AppleCare and offers repair services using genuine Apple parts.

Costs and Fees
The cost of repair varies depending on the type of issue and the service provider. If you go directly to Apple, you can use their “Get an Estimate” tool to review potential costs. If you choose to use another service provider, they will set their own fees. Keep in mind that additional damage found during inspection may incur additional fees.
