If you’re wondering whether Mr. Handy, the helpful robot assistant in Fallout Shelter, collects resources while you’re away from the game, the answer is no. Mr. Handy only collects resources when the game is actively running on your device.
When assigned to a specific floor in your vault, Mr. Handy will automatically collect resources from Power, Food, Water, Stimpak, and Radaway production rooms. However, he won’t trigger the arrival of new dwellers from the radio room, nor will he complete dwellers’ level ups or stat training.
To make the most of Mr. Handy’s abilities, assign him to a floor with production rooms that generate the resources you need most. Keep in mind that Mr. Handy can die if he takes too much damage, so you may need to revive him for 2,000 caps if this happens.
While Mr. Handy is a valuable asset in Fallout Shelter, he doesn’t collect resources when you’re not actively playing the game. To keep your vault running smoothly, make sure to check in regularly and manage your resources effectively.
