If your Android phone is stuck in a frustrating bootloop, where it repeatedly restarts without successfully loading the operating system, don’t worry – there are several steps you can take to resolve the issue.
Press and Hold Power and Volume Down
The first and simplest solution is to press and hold both the “Power” and “Volume Down” buttons on your phone. Do this for about 20 seconds or until the device restarts again. This will often clear the memory and cause the device to start normally.
Try Safe Mode
To enter Safe Mode, press and hold the Power button until the power options menu appears. Then, touch and hold the “Power Off” option, and a pop-up window will ask if you want to reboot into Safe Mode. Tap “OK” to proceed.
Once in Safe Mode, observe if the bootloop continues. If it doesn’t, the problem may be caused by a recently installed app. You can then uninstall any suspicious apps to resolve the issue.
Perform a Factory Reset
To factory reset your Android phone, power it off and then press and hold a combination of buttons (usually Power Volume Down) to access the recovery mode. Use the volume buttons to navigate and the Power button to select “Wipe data/factory reset.” Confirm the reset and wait for the process to complete.
After the reset, your device should boot up without the bootloop. Keep in mind that this will erase all data on your phone, so make sure to back up anything important before taking this step.
