If your keyboard layout is not working correctly, causing keys to print the wrong characters, follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Open the On-Screen Keyboard by pressing Windows key R, typing OSK, and pressing Enter.

  2. Click on Time & Language.
  3. Click on Language.
  4. Under the “Preferred languages” section, select the language with the incorrect keyboard layout.
  5. Click the Options button.
  6. In the “Keyboards” section, select the incorrect keyboard layout and click Remove.
  7. Click Add a keyboard and select the correct layout for your language.

After making these changes, your keyboard layout should function properly.
