Before you begin the pairing process, make sure you have the following:
• Your new iPhone, updated to the latest iOS version
• Your Apple Watch, charged to at least 50%
• Your Apple ID and password
• A stable Wi-Fi connection
• Bluetooth enabled on your iPhone
1. Turn on your Apple Watch by pressing and holding the side button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Bring your new iPhone close to your Apple Watch. You should see a pairing screen appear on your iPhone automatically.
3. If the pairing screen doesn’t appear, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and tap “Start Pairing.”
4. Use your iPhone’s camera to scan the animation on your Apple Watch. If you can’t use the camera, tap “Pair Apple Watch Manually” and follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Once paired, choose “Set Up as New Apple Watch” or “Restore from Backup” if you have a previous backup.
6. Follow the prompts to sign in with your Apple ID, choose your settings, and create a passcode for your watch.
• If pairing fails, restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch.
• Ensure both devices have sufficient battery life and are connected to Wi-Fi.
• If you’re still having trouble, try resetting your Apple Watch by going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
• Customize your watch face and complications.
• Download your favorite apps from the App Store.
• Set up Apple Pay and other features you’d like to use.
To ensure the best performance and compatibility with your new iPhone, always keep your Apple Watch updated to the latest watchOS version. You can check for updates in the Watch app on your iPhone under General > Software Update.
