Scratches on your UPVC window sills can be an eyesore, but don’t worry – there’s an easy fix! Follow these simple steps to get your sills looking good as new:
Start by thoroughly cleaning the scratched area with a UPVC cleaner. This will remove any dirt or debris that could interfere with the scratch removal process. Use a soft cloth or microfiber pad to gently wipe away the grime.
Dispense a small amount of a brass cleaner containing petroleum distillate and ammonium hydroxide onto a soft microfiber cloth. Squeeze a few drops of the brass cleaner onto the cloth and rub the scratch gently using a circular buffing motion.
The chemicals in the brass cleaner will help to fill in and smooth out the scratch, making it less visible.
Once you’ve worked the brass cleaner into the scratch, use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to buff the area. Apply light pressure and use circular motions to polish the sill and restore its shine.
If the scratch is still visible after buffing, you may need to repeat steps 2 and 3 a few times until it’s fully removed.
