If your Photos library on your iPhone is acting up or won’t open, there’s a good chance you can fix it using Apple’s built-in repair tool. Here’s how to get it done:
Close the Photos app if it’s currently open.
Press and hold the Option and Command keys on your keyboard, then double-click the Photos app icon to launch it.
In the window that appears, click Repair to start the repair process.
Enter your user account password if prompted, then wait for the repair to complete.
Depending on the size of your Photos library, the repair process may take some time. Once it’s finished, your library should open without any issues.
If the built-in repair tool doesn’t work, there are a few other things you can try:
Update your iPhone’s iOS to the latest version. Outdated software can sometimes cause problems with the Photos app.
Use Disk Utility to repair any issues with your iPhone’s storage drive.
Restore your Photos library from a backup, if you have one.
Remember to always keep a backup of your Photos library, either through iCloud or a third-party backup solution, to protect your precious memories.
