In Kerbal Space Program, when your spacecraft encounters damage during an Extra-Vehicular Activity (EVA), you’ll need to use an EVA Repair Kit to fix broken deployable parts or landing legs. Here’s how to effectively repair these issues:
To repair a broken deployable part, such as a solar panel or antenna, follow these steps:
Right-click on the damaged part to open the context menu
Select the “Repair” option
Make sure you have an EVA Repair Kit in your engineer’s inventory
The part will be repaired, and the repair kit will be consumed
Note that the part must only be mildly damaged for this repair to succeed. If the part has exploded or detached from the spacecraft, it cannot be recovered using the repair kit.
To repair a broken landing leg, follow a similar process:
Right-click on the damaged leg to open the context menu
Select the “Repair Leg” option
Ensure you have an EVA Repair Kit in your engineer’s inventory
The leg will be repaired, and the repair kit will be consumed
As with deployable parts, the landing leg must only be mildly damaged for the repair to work. If the leg has completely exploded or detached from the lander, it cannot be recovered using the repair kit.
Remember to bring multiple repair kits with you on EVAs, as each kit can only repair a limited amount of damage. By mastering the use of EVA Repair Kits, you can extend the life of your spacecraft and complete missions more efficiently in Kerbal Space Program.
