If you’re experiencing issues with The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) and suspect corrupted or damaged game files, you can repair them through the game launcher. Here’s how to do it:
Open the ESO Launcher
Make sure you have closed all instances of ESO and the game launcher before proceeding.
Click Game Options
Locate the Game Options dropdown menu in the center column of the launcher and click on it.
Click Repair
The Repair option should be available in the dropdown menu. Click on it to initiate the repair process.
If the Repair option is not available and your Play button reads “Install” or “Update”, click on it and wait for the data to start loading. Once the download begins, close the launcher and reopen it. In the Game Options dropdown, click “Cancel”. An error message may appear; click “Close” and check the Game Options dropdown again. The Repair option should now be available.
Wait for the Process to Finish
The repair process will go through a loop of verifying, downloading, and verifying again until all files are repaired. The progress bar may load from 0 to 100 multiple times before finishing, which can take some time.
Once the repair is complete, restart the game to ensure the issue has been resolved. Remember to disable or delete any addons before repairing the game client.
