How to Restore Max Durability in Black Desert Online

In the world of Black Desert Online (BDO), your gear is essential for survival and progression. However, as you battle your way through the game, your equipment will gradually lose durability, eventually becoming unusable. To keep your gear in top shape, you need to know how to restore its maximum durability. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of restoring durability in BDO.

Sacrificing Similar Items

The most straightforward way to restore maximum durability is by sacrificing a similar item. This method works best for green and blue gear. To do this:

Find a blacksmith or armor vendor in any town
Interact with them and select the “Repair” option
Place the item you want to restore in the left window
In the right window, place another item of the same type (e.g., another Tarotus Helm for a Tarotus Helm)
Click “Recover Max Durability”

The sacrificed item will be destroyed, but the maximum durability of the repaired item will increase by a certain amount, depending on the item’s grade.

Using Memory Fragments

For more expensive gear, such as yellow or orange items, using memory fragments is a better option. Memory fragments restore a fixed amount of durability based on the item’s grade:

Yellow items: 1 durability point per fragment
Blue items: 2 durability points per fragment
Green items: 5 durability points per fragment

To use memory fragments:

Place the item you want to restore in the left window
In the right window, place the required number of memory fragments

Yellow items: 4 times the durability points
