How to Run CHKDSK with the /F Option to Fix Hard Drive Errors in Windows

If you’re experiencing issues with your hard drive, such as slow performance, frequent errors, or even data loss, running the CHKDSK (Check Disk) utility with the /F option can help identify and fix many common problems. The /F option instructs CHKDSK to fix any errors it finds on the drive.
