Why is My GTA Mechanic Not Working? (And How to Fix It)

Insufficient Funds

The most common reason for a non-functioning mechanic is a lack of funds to pay the daily fee. In GTA Online, the mechanic requires a payment of $50 per day to maintain his services.

To resolve this, simply transfer at least $50 from your bank account to your character’s wallet using the in-game phone’s internet browser. Go to Money & Services > Maze Bank > Main Menu > Withdraw and transfer the necessary funds.

Wait for 24 Hours

After transferring the funds, you’ll need to wait at least 24 in-game hours (approximately 45 minutes of real-time) for the daily fee to be processed. During this time, the mechanic’s services may still be unavailable.

To speed up the process, you can change sessions or complete a mission. Once the 24-hour period has elapsed, your mechanic should be back in service.

Restart the Game
