How to Turn On and Use Narrator in Windows 8

Press the Windows key Enter to instantly turn on Narrator.

Turn on Narrator in the Search Bar

1. Press the Windows key F to open the Search bar. 2. Select “Apps” in the list, type “narrator” in the search box, and click on “Narrator” in the left-hand results.

Turn on Narrator in the Ease of Access Center

1. Click on the Ease of Access button in the lower-left corner of the screen, or press Windows key U. 2. Click or press Alt U to “Turn on Narrator” under “Hear text read aloud”. 3. Click or press Alt O to select OK.
