In the world of Black Desert Online (BDO), cooking is a crucial life skill that can provide valuable resources and income. One of the essential tools for cooking is the cooking utensil, and understanding how to properly use and place it within your residence is key to mastering this aspect of the game.
Acquiring a Cooking Utensil
To begin your cooking journey in BDO, you’ll first need to obtain a cooking utensil. There are several ways to acquire one:
Purchase a cooking utensil from NPC vendors, though the selection is limited.
Buy one from the in-game marketplace, which offers a wider variety but may be subject to supply and demand pricing.
Craft a cooking utensil by setting up a Tool Workshop housing and hiring a worker.
Earn Oxiterr Crystals or Sangpyeong Coins through daily quests in Everfrost or LoML, respectively, and use them to purchase a cooking utensil.
Spend 300 Loyalties to purchase one of the best cooking utensils available.
Placing the Cooking Utensil
Once you have your cooking utensil, the next step is to place it within your residence. Here’s how to do it:
Enter your residence and press the “P” button to access the placement mode.
Locate the cooking utensil icon in the furniture inventory window, typically at the top left, before the Pearl furniture options.
Click on the cooking utensil icon and then click on the desired location within your residence to place it.
Use the down arrow key (or spacebar) to place the utensil, and you can further adjust its position and rotation if needed.
Press the “Esc” key to exit the placement mode.
With your cooking utensil properly placed, you can now approach it and press the “R” key to open the cooking window, where you can access all available recipes and begin your culinary adventures in BDO.
