The Refinishing Process

Priming and Painting
After sanding, scuff about six inches around the damaged area with a scuff pad until it is completely smooth. Spray three or four coats of primer on the wheel, allowing it to dry between coats. Then, spray a couple of coats of paint on the wheel, sanding between coats. Let the paint dry completely.
Clear-Coating and Polishing
Finally, spray two light coats of clear coat over the paint. Allow the clear coat to dry completely. Use a bristle brush to scrub the face of the wheel lightly, removing any overspray. Wipe the surface off completely with a microfiber towel.
