Can You Lose Your Emissary Quest in Sea of Thieves?

In Sea of Thieves, Emissary Quests are a special type of mission that players can claim after reaching Emissary Grade V with a particular Trading Company. However, there are some important considerations when it comes to these quests.

Claiming an Emissary Quest

Player Crews can only claim one Emissary Quest in return for reaching Grade V. This quest is separate from regular Voyages and can be claimed from any representative of the corresponding Trading Company on Outposts.

Losing Your Emissary Quest

If a Crew wishes to claim another Emissary Quest, they will need to return their Flag by lowering it at a table or having their ship sunk. They will then need to represent the Company again and progress to Grade V to claim another quest.

It’s important to note that Emissary Quests are not lost if a Crew’s ship sinks or if they lower their flag for any other reason. The quest remains active until it is completed or the flag is lowered specifically to claim a new quest.
