If your iPhone is less than a year old, it might still be covered by Apple’s one-year warranty. That means you can make an appointment at the Genius Bar in your nearest Apple Store to have them repair your Home button for free.

Out-of-Warranty Home Button Replacement Cost

Unfortunately, most iPhones with a physical Home button are more than a year old. In that case, the cost to replace the Home button can be quite high.

For an iPhone 7, Apple charges $149 to replace the Home button out-of-warranty. This is because the Home button is not a standalone component, but is integrated into the display. As a result, a full screen replacement is required.

If you have AppleCare coverage, the cost is reduced to $29 per incident for accidental damage.

For other iPhone models with physical Home buttons, the out-of-warranty replacement cost may vary, but is likely to be similarly high due to the integrated nature of the component.
