Does Samsung Offer Free Phone Repairs for First Responders?

Samsung has launched a special initiative to support frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The “Free Repairs for The Frontline” program, in partnership with uBreakiFix, offers free repair services for Samsung smartphones to eligible first responders and healthcare professionals.

Eligibility and Covered Repairs

Local heroes, including doctors, nurses, hospital workers, EMTs, police officers, and firefighters, with valid ID, are eligible for one free repair for their Samsung smartphone. This service covers common smartphone repairs like fixing cracked screens and battery replacement.

Eligible first responders and medical professionals can visit any participating uBreakiFix location or mail their phone in for repair. The program ran from April 20 through June 30, 2020, and provided more than 17,000 free repairs during that time.

Ongoing Support for First Responders

While the free repair program has concluded, first responders still in need of repair services can visit Samsung Experience Store Locations where they will receive a 15% discount on any repair service. Samsung is also offering special discounts of up to 30% off any purchases at Samsung.com for first responders and healthcare workers.

Samsung’s commitment to supporting those on the frontlines of the pandemic extends beyond phone repairs. The company has also donated thousands of Galaxy smartphones to hospitals and medical facilities to help healthcare workers stay connected and coordinate care for patients.
