Transferring a guild in World of Warcraft can be a costly endeavor, depending on the specific services you require. According to Blizzard’s official pricing, the individual costs are as follows:
Guild Master Faction Change
$40 US
Guild Master Realm Transfer
$35 US
Guild Name Change
$20 US
However, if you purchase the Guild Transfer and Faction Change services together, you’ll receive a $10 discount, bringing the total cost down to $65 US.
It’s important to note that taxes may apply to these services in select U.S. states, such as New Mexico and Texas.
When you transfer your guild, the guild bank, level, perks, and achievements will transfer along with the Guild Master character to the new realm and/or faction. Guild members who decide to relocate with their guild can initiate their own paid character transfers, and upon a successful transfer, they will automatically be part of the guild when they first log into the new realm, with their guild rank and reputation intact.
The process of transferring a guild typically takes one to two hours to complete, but Blizzard advises allowing up to several days for the service to be processed.
It’s worth mentioning that there is a 30-day cooldown period for guild Realm Transfers, Faction Changes, and Name Changes, and these cooldowns will not overlap with each other.
If your guild name is taken on the destination realm, you’ll be prompted to pick a new name for your guild during the realm transfer process on the Battle.net website.
To initiate a Guild Master Realm Transfer or Guild Master Faction Change, make sure you’ve created a Billing Profile on Battle.net, and follow the step-by-step instructions provided by Blizzard.
